Agenda posted for Regular Board Meeting April 20 2020
Ohio
Governor Mike DeWine recently signed Amended Substitute House Bill 197 into
law. This new law is a response to the health risks associated with the
Coronavirus outbreak. Among other things, this new law allows public bodies
such as boards of education to conduct their meetings using telephone
conference, video conference, or other similar technologies. Good afternoon!
This law became effective on March 27, 2020. The Granville Exempted Village
School Board of Education is committed to the health, safety, and welfare of
our students and their parents, our staff, and our community in general. But
even in these times, the Board needs to take certain actions to keep the
District operational now and fully functional in the future.
For these reasons, the Board will forego an in-person meeting on Monday, April
20th to avoid a gathering of our board, staff and community members and
will instead conduct this meeting by video conference at 6:30 pm on Monday,
April 20, 2020.
The public is invited to join the Video Conference via Facebook Live. To
join, please go to https://www.facebook.com/GranvilleExemptedVillageSchools/.
You will still be able to watch the meeting and comment during Public
Participation via Facebook Live chat feature. You may also provide public
comments to Jeff Brown at [email protected]
prior to the Board Meeting provided we have received the comments by 6:00 pm
Monday evening.
If you wish to view the agenda for the Regular meeting, minutes from the March Regular meeting, and/or the March Financial Report they have been posted. As always, if you have questions regarding the upcoming meeting, please do not hesitate to contact the District Office at 740-587-8111.
