GES Families,
?
As part of our school emergency plan, Granville Elementary School has a Go-Bucket in every classroom.  The Go-Buckets include essential safety supplies in the event there is a building lockdown and can also be used in other emergency situations, such as severe weather. We would appreciate any assistance in gathering the necessary items to create new Go-Buckets and to replenish items based on expiration dates and use. A list of items and quantities can be found here. Use the same link to sign up to donate. The items can be turned into the office for collection. If you have any questions about the items, please feel free to contact Tracy Stewart, assistant principal, at [email protected]. We will keep the sign up open till January 31, 2023. Thank you in advance for considering!

Have a great weekend!

Granville Varsity Girls Basketball is hosting its first ever Youth Night on Wednesday, January 25th from 6:00 - 8:30 pm in the high school gym. All Granville girls from grades K-8 will get in free to the game vs. Utica High School, and the coaching staff, players, and parents have been working hard to make this a fun night for girls of all ages. The event starts at 6:00, where girls can get a team photo autographed by the Varsity girls, and then it will continue until 8:30 with the game, contests, raffles, prizes, and activities. The GHS Pep Band will also be in attendance to bring the energy. Click here for more info. Please reach out to Coach Moore at [email protected] with any questions!

ACE LEADERS FOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER
A Blue Ace Leader at GES is respectful, responsible, and safe. Blue Ace leaders also exemplify our essential Portrait of a Graduate traits. At the end of every month a student from each classroom is chosen to be recognized for consistently demonstrating one of the Portrait of a Graduate traits. For the month of December, we recognized students who were demonstrating critical thinking. Click here to see a list of the Blue Ace Leaders for December. Congratulations to this month's leaders!

WHEN YOUR CHILD DOES NOT FEEL WELL
If you suspect your child is ill, please keep them home long enough to determine if they are ill. Students must be fever, vomit and diarrhea free for 24 hours without fever reducing medication before returning to school. Children are not only considered contagious during this time but their immunity may also be down, and they are at risk for picking up other illnesses. Please do not send children to school with a questionable rash, illness, or injury that needs to be evaluated. These concerns need to be addressed by your child’s primary care provider who is licensed to diagnose illnesses and injuries.

PAX TOOLS PARENT PROGRAM
PAX Tools are a collection of nine evidence-based strategies to improve cooperation
and self-regulation with children and youth. The tools draw on decades of science to create strategies that support parents, youth workers and caring adults to create a nurturing environment that helps kids thrive. This wonderful program is for all parents with children of all ages and is based on the evidenced based PAX Good Behavior Game. Click here for more information.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
