August 31, 2023

We are pleased to welcome Scott Lofton as the new Granville School District Operations Supervisor. Mr. Lofton was approved during the June 26 Granville Board of Education regular meeting. His official start date was August 1.
Mr. Lofton has 25 years of experience in operations and previously was the business director of Gahanna Jefferson Public Schools since 2016. While at Gahanna, he managed an annual budget of $3.7 million, an annual Permanent Improvement Fund of $3 million, and a $32 million bond fund, which included $24 million for a new elementary school and $8 million in renovations of six elementary and three middle schools. He was responsible for the Maintenance, Custodial Services, Food Service, Transportation, and District Security departments.
"I am very excited to be a part of the Granville Schools team," said Mr. Lofton. "I look forward to working with each of the different departments and the administrative team to make our district as successful as possible."

Prior to Gahanna Jefferson, Mr. Lofton served as associate general manager of Nationwide Arena for 11 years. He also held similar positions at Glendale Arena in Arizona and Centennial Garden Arena in Bakersfield.

“I believe Scott’s 25 years of operations experience, plus his experience with a large public school system just prior to this, will make him a great fit for this position,” said Superintendent Jeff Brown.

Mr. Lofton has a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Bowling Green State University. He is a member of the Business Managers organization of Central Ohio, the Facilities Operations Manager Association (served as VP 2012-2016), and the International Association of Venue Managers.

Mr. Lofton resides in Gahanna with his wife Lori and daughters Alex and Jordyn.
