March 10, 2023

Granville Exempted Village Schools has selected John Kronk to fill a vacancy on its Board of Education. Mr. Kronk lives in Granville with his wife, Anne, and two children, Lily and Will (a freshman and 7th grader in the district, respectively).

Mr. Kronk is Senior Sales Manager for Urovant Sciences, Inc., and was previously Neuroscience Sales Specialist for Intra-Cellular. He has spent more than 20 years in managerial and sales roles in the service industry and biopharmaceutical field. He served, up until this appointment, as the Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Granville Recreation District since 2018 and numerous other volunteer roles within the community. Mr. Kronk earned his bachelor's degree in aviation flight, with a minor in business administration from Western Michigan University.
"I applied for the open position on Granville’s school board because of the anticipated growth of the district and my previous volunteer roles that will help me work across many of the great organizations within the district,” said Mr. Kronk. “I look forward to serving this community in an additional capacity, and making a positive difference for the future of education in Granville Schools.”

Granville selected Mr. Kronk from a total of eight applicants for the board position. Applicants were interviewed by all board members.

"We are excited to welcome Mr. Kronk to the school board,” said Granville Schools Superintendent Jeff Brown. “His commitment to our community makes him a great fit for the role.”

Mr. Kronk was unanimously appointed at the February 15 special board meeting and sworn in at the February 27 regular board meeting.
