Theater

Granville High School Drama is proud to present The Outsiders on February 6th and 7th at 7:00 p.m. in the Granville High School Theater. The Outsiders is a play adapted by Christopher Sergel and based on the classic novel by S. E. Hinton. This novel has been a long-standing part of the GMS required reading. Join us in the GHS theatre and see this story come to life on the stage. The show follows a young teenager, Ponyboy Curtis, as he navigates life on the streets and tries to understand where he belongs.
The Outsiders continues to speak to teens today, showing that the desire to be understood, accepted, and valued never changes. As the famous line reminds us, the message to “Stay Gold” is just as powerful now as it was when the novel was first written. Tickets can be purchased at cur8 or by using the link https://cur8.com/15232/project/136158. Doors to the theatre open at 6:30 each night.
Each year, GHS presents three productions - two plays and a musical - with more than 100 students involved through acting, working back stage and behind the scenes, and playing in the pit for the musical. For more information about how to get involved, please email srodocker@granvilleschools.org.
Each fall, there is a kick off meeting for parents and students to learn about the program and find out how to get involved.
Show tickets for productions will be available at cur8.com approximately three weeks before opening.
