House Bill 276: Reports on Bullying

House Bill 276
Semi-Annual Report to the President of the Board of Education
The mandates of House Bill 276, effective March 30, 2007, require that the Superintendent must provide a semi-annual written report the President of the Board of Education on all verified incidents of "harassment, intimidation, or bullying" that have take place during the time period and must post a summary of that report on the district's website."Harassment, intimidation, or bullying" is defined in the statute and in Board Policy JFCF as an intentional written, verbal, or physical act that a student has exhibited toward another particular student more than once. The behavior both (1) causes mental or physical harm to the other student; and (2) is sufficiently severe, persistent or pervasive that it creates an intimidating, threatening or abusive educational environment for the other student.
