Career & Technology Education Centers (C-TEC)

C-TEC

What is C-TEC?

C-TEC is the Career & Technology Education Centers of Licking County. This institution offers programming in the areas of high school and adult education. Full-day high school programs are housed at 150 Price Road in Newark, and half-day high school programs are offered at a few different satellite locations.

Why Granville Students Should Go to C-TEC

C-TEC is an option for college-bound students.Through the high school programs, all C-TEC students complete college-prep academic courses needed towards graduation as well as course work in their program of choice related to an area/career of interest. Many of the programs offer opportunities for college credits and some also lead to certification/licensing prior to graduation.

Full-Day Programs

The majority of high school programs are offered at C-TEC located at 150 Price Road in Newark. They are full-day programs, so students complete their academic core classes as well as their program studies at C-TEC. Students that choose this option are still considered Granville students, so they are eligible to participate in any of our extracurricular activities or athletics and will graduate with a diploma from Granville.

How do I know what program is best for me?

All sophomore students visit C-TEC in late fall for Sophomore Hands-On Day to see the facility and tour a few different programs offered by C-TEC. Students and parents may contact the student's counselor for more information about C-TEC and its programs. You may also like to check out Granville's Career Pathways to see what C-TEC programs or Granville electives may pertain to the student's career interests most. The career pathways are divided into seven career clusters: Arts and Communications, Business and Marketing, Industrial and Engineering Systems, Environmental and Agricultural Services, Health Services, Human Resources/Services, and Information Technology.

Not sure what your interests are or what careers may match those interests? Check out our Career Exploration page to see some of what we do here at Granville to help you figure it out.

How do I apply?

Applications for the following school year are not available until after the Sophomore Hands-On Day. Sophomores can then access an application from their school counselor.
