The Granville Schools band program serves more than 300 students in grades 6-12 through concert, marching, pep, jazz and steel drum bands.

The concert band has earned numerous Superior ratings at District Contest and regularly participates in the state level of OMEA adjudicated events. Each year, nearly 100 percent of high school and middle school band students take part in the OMEA Solo & Ensemble Adjudicated Event.
Each year, the Granville High School music department hosts the Adjudicated Events for District X Band and Choir, Solo & Ensemble and State Orchestra.
The GHS Marching Band strives to be a cornerstone of pride and support for the GHS football team, school and community. The band regularly performs in the community's 4th of July parade, the Circleville Pumpkin Show parade and various band festivals around the state.
One unique addition to the Granville band program is the steel drum band under the direction of Andrew Krumm. Known as Blue Steel, the 50+ students perform regularly around the community and bi-annually at competitions in Virginia Beach, Va.
The Granville High and Middle School Jazz Bands under the direction of Jerod Smith is a voluntary group that rehearses after school and performs a variety of genres, including swing, funk, rock, Latin and blues. The Blue Dukes Jazz Band was selected to perform for the Ohio Music Education Association's state conference in February 2018.
