The Granville Exempted Village Schools welcomed Jeffrey R. Brown as Superintendent of Schools in February 2011.
 
Mr. Brown has established himself as a successful leader in a high-achieving school district. As an instructional leader, Mr. Brown motivates people to do what is best for students, leveraging his instructional leadership to utilize best practices that increase student achievement. He is known as a collaborative leader who genuinely values positive partnerships with staff and community.

Mr. Brown came to Granville from Olentangy Local Schools, where he served in a successful progression of roles, including assistant principal, principal, executive director of elementary learning and interim superintendent. Prior to becoming a school administrator, Mr. Brown was a third grade teacher in the Gahanna-Jefferson Schools and a K-5 Special Education teacher in the Berea Schools.

Jeff Brown earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Dayton, and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration from The Ohio State University. He holds educational licensure for special education, elementary education, elementary principal and superintendent.

Mr. Brown is “first and foremost – a dad and husband” to wife Niki and children Emilee and Lillian. Mr. Brown’s favorite pastimes include spending time outdoors, hiking, skiing, playing golf, hockey and basketball, and of course, he is a Buckeye fan.
