Community sustainability is the theme for a public forum
hosted by the Village of Granville on Thursday, Nov. 16, 7-8:30 p.m. at the
Welsh Hills School, 2610 Newark-Granville Road. Residents are invited to share
their thoughts, concerns and suggestions about how the community can be more
sustainable. The meeting will focus on five core areas of interest:
Energy and Environment, Food and Agriculture, Land Use, Transportation, and
Policy. Each core area will have a separate station, facilitated by Village
Planning Staff along with students from a Denison University class on planning
and design. Participants will be able to voice their ideas and opinions freely
at each station throughout the event.
The initiative includes representatives from both the village
and township, Denison University and Owens-Corning, and was originally proposed
by council members Jackie O’Keefe and Michelle Lerner. For more information, please contact the
Village of Granville Planning Office at 740-587-0707.
