New GHS Head Football Coach Introduced
Granville Schools introduced new High School Football Coach Justin Buttermore. Justin has 14 years of head coaching experience and comes to Granville from Tri-Valley High School in Dresden, Ohio. In his coaching career, Buttermore has served as an offensive, defensive and special team coordinator. He also has experience in both turning around and maintaining high program success throughout his coaching career.

"My family and I are excited to become part of a school system that places such a high value on both academic and athletic excellence," Coach Buttermore said. "In addition, the Granville community is a place we have always enjoyed visiting and now have the opportunity to call home. Granville football has taken great strides in recent years and the goal now is to work and achieve even greater heights."

“Justin Buttermore is the exact caliber of person and coach who will be able to continue the excellent tradition set forth by our former coaches in the Granville football program,” said Granville Athletic Director Kevin Jarrett. “What excites us most is that he is intent on working with the young individuals that come into our program and building them into strong, capable young men who will be the future of our community. We are excited for him to begin the next chapter of Granville Football.”

“We are excited to welcome Justin Buttermore to Granville High School as our new head football coach,” said GHS Principal Matt Durst. “Justin brings tremendous coaching experience, and we look forward to the great work he will do with our student-athletes.”

Superintendent Jeff Brown said, “I am excited for Coach Buttermore to become a Blue Ace. Our mission of Learning for Life aligns with his coaching philosophy. He will be a great addition.”
