Field Hockey Teams Play Benefit Games Sept. 26 at GIS

The GHS Varsity and JV Field Hockey Teams will play a benefit game on Monday, Sept. 26 to support the Licking County Coalition for Housing. The varsity plays at 5 p.m. and JV at 6:30 p.m. at the field behind GIS.

The reason why the teams are playing for the Coalition is there are nearly 300 homeless people in Licking County on any night, and the average household is just two paychecks away from homelessness

To get involved, you can donate household items from this list Sept. 26-30 at GHS near the trophy case, or at the field behind GIS 4-8 p.m. on Sept. 26 during the benefit. Donations go in the temporary housing for people in transition or in need. When people leave these homes, they take the objects with them, so there is always a need for replenishment.

Another way to help is by signing up for the Coalition’s Home Run 5K on Nov. 12. When you register with Granville Field Hockey, it is $20 to participate and 100% of the money goes to Licking County Coalition for Housing. For registration information, click or tap here. So come run with Granville Field Hockey and thank you for your support! We hope to see you at the game!
