Sales Tax Holiday for Back to School Aug. 7-9

Ohio will suspend the 5.75% sales tax on August 7, 8 & 9 to help parents and teachers save money while back-to-school shopping. During the sales tax holiday, these items will be exempt from sales and use tax:

• An item of clothing priced $75 or less 
• An item of school instructional material priced at $20 or less 
• An item of school supplies priced at $20 or less.
  
  There is no limit on the number of items consumers can buy, and purchases made by mail, telephone and online qualify even if delivery is after August 9.
