Evans is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, the Air Command and Staff College, and the Joint Forces Staff Colleges. He completed his executive education at the British Command and Staff College and the National Defense University. In addition, he will graduate this June with a 
Master’s Degree in National Security Affairs and International Relations from Nova Southeastern University.
During his military career, he has commanded three units including his most recent duty with the Theater Security Cooperation Support Unit in Bahrain. Evans also completed assignments with the Combating Terrorism Division Chief at United States Central Command and was lead for building partner capacity activities at the United States Special Operations Command. In addition, he served as an aide to the NATO Commander Standing Naval Forces Atlantic. He was recently appointed as the Deputy for Military Cooperation at the U.S. Embassy in Dohar, Qatar.
Evans currently lives near Tampa, Florida with his four children.
