Fisher competed in the Teach and Train category. His project was designed to help students improve their grades by focusing on teaching better organization with the use of a software application called Evernote. In addition, Fisher trained high school teacher’s on a program called Quizlet as a means to help teachers incorporate engaging technology into classroom instruction.
More than 7,000 Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) members, advisers, alumni, and guests from across the country attended the conference. Beighley and Fisher were among over 4200 Students Taking Action with Recognition (STAR) Event participants who competed at the event.
