Free Sports Physicals Offered May 4 & 5

Licking Memorial Health Systems is offering free sports physicals and cardiac screenings. Girls' physicals are on Wednesday, May 4, 5-6:30 p.m. Boys' physicals are on Thursday, May 5, 5-6:30 p.m. They will be conducted at the Pediatric Office of Licking Memorial Health Professionals, 1865 Tamarack Road, Newark. Here’s the schedule:

5 p.m. - Last name beginning with K-O
5:20 p.m. - Last name beginning with P-S
5:40 p.m. - Last name beginning with T-Z
6 p.m. - Last name beginning with A-E
6:20 p.m. - Last name beginning with F-J

Note: Electrocardiogram (EKG) screenings will be provided to athletes entering grades 7, 9 and 11, as well as students entering grade 8 who are new to the sports screening program. Echocardiogram screenings will be provided to athletes entering grades 9 and 11.

If you miss the May 4-5 physicals, additional sports physicals will be performed at Granville High School by OSU Sports Medicine physicians. Pre-participation physical exams are available to all Granville students for $5. This money goes to the Athletic Trainer's budget for students. These exams will fulfill OHSAA requirements for participation in the 2016-17 school year.

Monday, May 16 - Upcoming 7th through 9th graders
9th grade - 4:30 p.m.
8th grade - 5:30 p.m. (must have one parent)
7th grade - 6:30 p.m. (must have one parent)

Wednesday, May 18, 2016 - Upcoming 10th through 12th graders
10th grade - 4:30 p.m.
11th grade - 5:30 p.m.
12th grade - 6:30 p.m.
