Calamity Day Makeup Information

Granville submitted a plan that allows for an additional three makeup days through online posting of student assignments without the need to add extra days to the end of the school year. In anticipation of this situation, all Granville teachers have developed makeup assignments.

Each of your child’s teachers should have either already communicated, or will be communicating, the instructional work related to the calamity day plan. This instructional work does not need to be completed tomorrow. The plan allows students at least 2 weeks to complete each assignment. Some teachers may not post makeup work if they feel students need further clarification about the assignment. In this case, students will be given those assignments when they return to the classroom. In addition, we undersand not all students have access to computers at home, thus teachers will provide those students with a hard copy of the assignment when your child returns to school.

Staff across the district will communicate the specific classroom instructional work through various tools including email, teacher websites, Moodle, parent internet viewer (PIV), and My Big Campus.

If any questions arise, please first reach out to your child’s teacher(s) first and, if necessary, your building administration. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
