EMB Update Requires New Login Information

Explain My Benefits (EMB) has updated their website to enhance the security of all employee information. As a result, employees will be required to create a unique username and password as a login to enroll, view or make a change in benefits.
Follow these steps to create a unique username and password:
  • Go to the Explain My Benefits website
  • Click on "Log Into Your Benefit System 
  • Enter employee ID (2-digit brith month, 2-digit birthday and last 4digits of Social Security number) and pin (4-digit year of birth), then click on "Create New Account."
  • Once an account is created, the employee will create a username and password (instructions are in the link next to the web prompt).
  • Enter the email address, then choose and answer three security questions.
  • Once you complete this process, you will receive a verification code by email - this can take up to 10 minutes to receive and be sure to check your junk mail folder. 

Continue using this username and password to access EMB. The website also has a "forgot username/password" feature to retrieve forgotten credentials.

Three unsuccessful attempts to log in will lock the account for security reasons. Contact Human Resources to unlock the account.
