Community Bulletin Board

In order to centralize future communications, all groups, including district partners must submit announcements and events to the district communications office. District partners may submit information via email to jrbrown@granvilleschools.org. All other organizations must submit information for approval via the guidelines specified below:

Building principals may choose to provide a link to the community bulletin board page in their district newsletters but will no longer include lengthy announcements. We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to this policy. Our building and district newsletters are reserved for district and school-related information.  

The Granville Board of Education policy concerning advertising, political campaign materials, and legal opinion concerning separation of church and state will be used to help determine what flyers are approved.  Only Granville Exempted Village School District, or local groups, organizations, and religious organizations are eligible to use this service.  

-Groups, organization, churches and businesses must be designated as non-profit or promoting exclusively non-profit activities. 
 -Fliers from religious organizations may not contain any reference to religious or proselytizing language.
-Fliers will not be approved that contact hate language, sexually explicit or racial language or innuendo, inappropriate graffiti symbols or photos, or language that can be construed as inappropriate or foul.        
-Board policy also prohibits using the district website(s) for political materials.
-All fliers must include the following disclaimer in 12 point, bold font: “This event or activity is not sponsored by the Granville Exempted Village School District.”
 -All parties submitting a flier request will receive confirmation or denial of approval via email within five (5) days.
 -Fliers will remain posted for one (1) day past the event date(s) and no longer than 30 days.

·         To Submit an Announcement: 

Non-profit organizations may submit an announcement via our online request form. Click Here to submit information. Please allow three working days for your announcement to be posted to our community page.

 To Submit a Flier: 

All organizations wishing to distribute flyers must submit proof of the organization’s 501(c)(3) status.  If the organization’s 501(c)(3) status is on file with the district, you do not need to resubmit the proof with each request.

Complete the GEVSD Flyer Request Form and submit it, along with an Adobe PDF copy of the flyer to be distributed, at five (5) school days before the distribution date to the Communication Department via email.
